I just got back from an emergency visit with Dr. Jason Tubo and I am in awe of how I felt while there and even now after leaving. The qualities that I witness every time I go to this office include: professionalism, integrity, compassion, intelligence, precision and dedication to excellence. As funny as it might sound, I had an amazing emergency trip to the dentist's office today! The entire staff and Dr. Tubo are amazing!
I used to hate and dread going to the dentist. When Whitinsville Family Dentistry was recommended to me for their five star service, I figured I'd give it a chance. I was very relieved when the experience was 100% comfortable. I would recommend them to anyone, specifically people who hate going to the dentist. The front end staff are always courteous and greet you with a smile.
The Big Day arrived - everything looked and felt great and I was ready to snap on the denture. I cannot tell you how incredible this is. It is a secure fit, the denture does not move. I was skeptical that two implants in the front of my mouth would hold the denture secure in the back. It does, it is amazing. After I snapped in my denture, I was told to go eat a steak. Next stop was to order a large steak and cheese sub. Here was the big test ----- the lower denture never moved. It was beyond all my expectations. I've worn my snap on denture for a month now and I love it.
I made an appointment with Dr. Tubo. I explained my problem and Dr. Tubo said he could help. The first step was a Cone Beam-3D-X-ray. This x-ray is downloaded to a computer where you and Dr. Tubo discuss the implant procedure. This also enables Dr. Tubo to rehearse the surgery before he performs it on you. I am also a very anxious dental patient. Dr. Tubo prescribed a sedative to be taken the night before and another one to be taken right before implant surgery. If you choose this you will need a ride to and from your appointment.
Without getting into great detail, the next day, Dr. Jason Tubo and his assistant, Ashley, spent 4+ consecutive hours working on my daughter's tooth - completing the root canal and rebuilding a replacement tooth. He was able to rearrange his schedule and made sure his other patients were taken care of, while finishing the treatment on my daughter. Ashley did a wonderful job assisting him throughout the procedure, and was pleasant and upbeat during a very long morning. My daughter left the office with a tooth replacement that looked great - her friends at school were surprised at how "real" it looked.
Dr. Tubo also created an upper denture for me. This denture has cosmetically improved my smile while smoothing out some wrinkles. I highly recommend Dr. Tubo for anyone thinking of implant surgery. Dr. Tubo's office is friendly and full of laughter between patients and staff. The implants have been life changing for me. I don't have to carry around tubes of Fixodent anymore. The one regret I have is that I didn't do this sooner.
It is apparent that everyone at Whitinsville Family Dentistry is patient-focused and concerned with providing the best, most cost-effective dentistry to anyone who walks through their door, day or night. Dr. J. Tubo is passionate about providing great dentistry and clearly enjoys helping his patients. Although it is a bit of a drive for us, we are seriously considering switching from our current dentist to Whitinsville FD. They're great!

My name is Maryann and for the last five years I have been the Fixodent Queen. I had a lower partial denture that was always loose. I couldn't eat a complete meal without the partial coming loose. Going out to dinner with friends was a nightmare. I'd have to stop and reapply Fixodent at least once and sometimes twice during the meal. Everyone would be finished and I'd still have a plate of now cold food. I was so frustrated. So, I decided to research my problem to see if there was another option. I read about snap-on dentures. During an online search to find a dentist that would take a look at her, and at least stabilize her tooth, which was close to falling off, I happened to click on the website for Whitinsville Family Dentistry.
How fortunate for us! After placing a call to the practice and leaving a voicemail, my call was almost immediately returned by Dr. Jason Tubo, who agreed to meet us at the office, along with his brother, who is also a dentist with the practice, to take a look at my daughter's tooth. I had briefly spoken to Dr. Cnossen, who had also offered to help us out, if we were not able to find a local dentist to help.
The whole procedure took a little over an hour. I felt fine after the surgery and the pain was minimal.
Our positive experience with the Drs. Tubo began after our daughter's front tooth broke when playing soccer. It happened in the evening, when most dental offices have closed. I called our local office, which offered no emergency service referral - only the option to leave a message…(they called me back at 8am the next morning). I also called several other dentists in northern RI, where we live, with no success.
We met at the agreed time - they had to reopen the office - and spent the next hour+ stabilizing her tooth, which involved beginning a root canal, and removing the lower tooth so she wouldn't swallow it if it fell off during the night. Dr. Jason Tubo offered to see her the next morning at 8am to continue treatment. We were impressed with how compassionate and professional both doctors were - and grateful that they would spend part of their evening helping us.
The implants are allowed time to heal with the bone so the foundation is strong.
Excellent service and a friendly attitude. Always quick and painless, never a long wait. I had always hated going to the dentist but hardly flinch when my appointment arrives with Whitinsville Family Dentistry. I can't stress how friendly and professional they are, and with email alerts I never miss an appointment! Excellent business!
